The FES Family Center is open every school day to support you and your family. We offer a variety of programs and services, including instructional resources available for checkout, English literacy classes, academic workshops, and guidance to help support your child’s learning. Families can connect with our Parent Instructional Coordinator and Parent Outreach Liaison, receive assistance with school applications such as ParentVUE, ParentSquare, MyPaymentsPlus, and the lunch application, and get answers to questions about the school and available community resources.
The Family Center is also a hub for family engagement and involvement. Whether you are interested in Play2Learn, volunteer opportunities, business partnerships, or learning more about ways to connect with our school community, we are here to help. We want every family to feel welcomed, supported, and at home at Ferguson Elementary, and we look forward to partnering with you in your child’s educational journey.

Family and Community Engagement Plan

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Early Release Days for Parent-Teacher Conferences are Wednesday, October 28th and Thursday, October 29th for our first semester and Wednesday, March 3rd and Thursday, March 4th for our second semester. Conferences can be in person, video, or phone call. If you are in need of an interpreter, please sign in for a conference on Wednesday or Thursday and notify your teacher that you will need an interpreter.
Students will be dismissed early on both Early Released Days. If your student is a walker/car rider/day-care rider, please make any necessary transportation arrangements for your child. Buses will drop students off at their stop at an earlier time.
Ferguson Elementary will be utilizing an online scheduling system for this conference session. Your child's classroom teacher will provide a code for you to register for a conference.

Procedure: To volunteer at Ferguson Elementary, all new volunteers must first complete an orientation session at the Family Center. Upon arrival, volunteers must park in the front of the school, check in at the Front Desk with a valid photo ID for the RAPTOR scanning system, and then proceed to the Family Center to sign in, receive an assignment, and collect a volunteer badge, which must be worn at all times. Volunteers should coordinate specific volunteer times in advance with teachers if working in a classroom, and must remember to sign out at the front desk before leaving.
